Choosing a preschool means trusting others to care for your child, and we understand how important that trust is. At Sunny Days Learning Academy, safety, clear expectations, and respectful care guide everything we do. Our policies are designed to protect children, support families, and create a calm, consistent environment where children can thrive.

A Safe and Secure Environment

We take our responsibility for children’s safety seriously. Our building is equipped with security and fire alarm systems that are connected to first responders when needed. Entry to our building is monitored through a doorbell system, allowing staff to identify parents and visitors before granting access.

Children also spend time outdoors each day on our large, fully fenced playground. This provides a safe space for movement, exploration, and play while remaining closely supervised by staff.

Safety procedures and emergency drills are reviewed regularly and align with Idaho licensing requirements and IdahoSTARS standards.

Trained and Qualified Staff

Sunny Days Learning Academy is a fully licensed preschool in Boise, Idaho, regulated by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Our classrooms are staffed by fully licensed early childhood educators who are committed to providing attentive, thoughtful care.

All staff maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Ongoing professional development through IdahoSTARS helps ensure our team stays informed and prepared to support children’s well-being.

Health and Wellness Practices

Keeping children healthy is an important part of maintaining a positive learning environment. We follow Idaho immunization requirements or approved exemptions, and we have clear illness exclusion policies to help reduce the spread of illness.

Health and wellness expectations are shared with families during the enrollment process to ensure clarity and consistency.

Guidance and Discipline

We use a Positive Discipline approach that focuses on teaching skills rather than punishment. Children are supported as they learn emotional regulation, problem-solving, and respectful communication.

We do not use physical discipline, humiliation, or practices that compromise a child’s dignity or emotional well-being. Our goal is to guide children with patience, consistency, and care while helping them build confidence and self-control.

Clear Communication With Families

We believe strong communication helps create a successful preschool experience. Families receive ongoing updates through our childcare management app and are encouraged to reach out whenever they have questions or concerns.

When challenges come up, we work collaboratively with families to support each child’s growth while maintaining clear expectations and routines.

Enrollment Fees and Policies

To enroll, families submit an online application along with a $100 non-refundable registration fee. If a space is not immediately available, families may choose to submit a $50 transferable waitlist fee, which can be applied toward enrollment when a space opens. The waitlist fee is non-refundable. Enrollment requirements and policies are reviewed with families during the enrollment process.
