A Montessori-Inspired Preschool in Boise, Idaho

We at Sunny Days Learning Academy believe in a developmentally appropriate curriculum and strive to enhance the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of young children. Our program combines play-based and Montessori approaches to inspire curiosity and creativity through a variety of group activities and free play in themed centers. We want this to be a positive experience for you and your child, and to give equal opportunity to all families, regardless of race, creed, sex, religion, national origin, economic standing, or physical condition.

What Makes Sunny Days Different from Other Boise-Area Preschools?

Finding the right preschool for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. There are a lot of options in the Boise area, and it can be hard to know what to look for.

At Sunny Days, a few things set us apart. Our classrooms are intentionally small. With a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio, our teachers have the time and capacity to truly know each child, not just manage a group. That kind of individual attention makes a real difference at this age.

We also blend two approaches that work beautifully together. Our toddler program uses the Experience Curriculum, a well-structured, play-based approach designed specifically for two and three-year-olds. Our preschool program is led by a Montessori-certified teacher who brings that training into the classroom every day. Children get the freedom to explore and follow their interests while still building the foundational skills they need for kindergarten.

Our facility is fully licensed by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. All of our teachers are licensed early childhood educators, CPR and First Aid-certified, and participate in ongoing professional development through IdahoSTARS. We also offer in-school enrichment programs, including gymnastics, soccer, and dance, that are built right into the school day.

A Typical Day at Sunny Days

Every day at Sunny Days has a comfortable rhythm that children come to love. The morning starts with free-choice activities while everyone arrives. By 9:30 am, the full class is together for circle time and outdoor play on our large, fully fenced playground.

Lunch is around 11:30 am. Our toddler class has nap time in the afternoon from about 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a snack. Our preschool students spend afternoon time in the art room, participating in enrichment activities, or enjoying more outdoor time when the weather allows.

Throughout the day, parents receive photos, videos, and updates through the Brightwheel app. Transitions between activities are gently guided with songs and timers so that children always know what comes next. It is a full, happy day built around consistency, warmth, and learning.
