Parent FAQs
What ages do you accept?
We welcome children ages 2 through 5. Our Toddler program is designed for children ages 2–3, and our Preschool program serves children ages 3–5. Both programs are structured to meet children where they are developmentally and set them up for a confident transition into kindergarten.
Is this full-day or part-time?
We offer flexible scheduling to fit your family’s needs. Programs are available Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or Monday through Friday. For our 2- and 3-year-old classrooms, half-day options are also available. Because class sizes are limited, availability can vary depending on the schedule mix — full-day and full-week spots tend to fill more quickly, and part-time options may be limited based on current enrollment.
How is Montessori used in your classrooms?
At Sunny Days, we use a blend of play-based learning and Montessori principles to create a classroom environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and independence. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and designed to support growth across four key areas: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual. In practice, this looks like a mix of intentional group activities and free-play in themed centers, where children are encouraged to explore at their own pace and follow their natural curiosity.
What does a typical day look like?
Both classes have slightly different schedules, but a typical day would include free-choice activities until all the students arrive by 9:30 am. The morning would have a circle time and outdoor activities. Classes have lunch around 11:30 am, with the younger class going down for a nap around 12:30 pm. The older students have time in the art room and an afternoon circle time or extracurricular activities. Weather permitting, students will spend time outside in the afternoon.
How do tours and enrollment work?
We’d love to meet you and your child! The best first step is scheduling a tour so you can see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and ask any questions. You can reach us by phone at (208) 244-0089 or by email at info@sunnydaysboise.com to get one on the books. When you’re ready to enroll, the process is done online through our enrollment application. An application fee of $100 is required at the time of submission. Once your application is reviewed and a spot is confirmed, we’ll walk you through next steps to get your child settled in. If a class has reached capacity or your child is not yet age-eligible, you’re welcome to join our waitlist and we’ll reach out as space becomes available.
Is there a waitlist? If so, how does it work?
A waitlist is used once a class reaches capacity or for children who are not yet age-eligible (under 2 years old). Families may join the waitlist and will be contacted as space becomes available based on age, schedule needs, and enrollment availability.
